LOVE WHAT YOU DO.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Hi there!
My name is Jenn, but my friends call me Gigi—and I am so excited you’re here. If you’ve landed on this page, I have a feeling we’re going to be great friends. I am the heart and curator behind the Food Devoted blog, a space created from decades of love, connection, and a deep belief that food is one of the most powerful tools we have for nurturing both our bodies and our relationships.
From as far back as I can remember, food has always been at the center of our family life. We gathered around food to celebrate holidays, to mourn losses, and to simply be together. Food wasn’t just nourishment—it was comfort, communication, and connection. I grew up with Sunday dinners where everyone showed up, sat down, laughed loudly, shared stories, and stayed deeply connected. Those weekly meals shaped me. They taught me that food has the power to slow us down, bring us together, and ground us in what truly matters.
Because we were always together, my cousins felt more like siblings. Our bonds were strengthened at the table, and even then, I knew I wanted to raise my own family with that same connected soul—surrounded by extended family, grounded in tradition, and centered on food made with love.
Family
I married my high school sweetheart, Kevin, over 35 years ago. He is my best friend, my steady support, and the person who still makes me laugh every single day. Together, we raised four incredible humans who are kind, generous, respectful, and loving—my proudest accomplishment by far.
And yes, Sunday dinners are still very much a thing in our home. We lovingly call them Super Supper Sundays, and they remain a cornerstone of our family life. Even as schedules got busier and life got louder, we protected that time around the table. While I work full time in professional sales, cooking has always been my passion and my greatest expression of love. Preparing meals for my family isn’t a chore—it’s how I care, how I connect, and how I stay grounded.
The Goal
The goal of Food Devoted is to inspire you to create meaningful experiences for your family through fresh, unprocessed, whole foods that deliver big, bold flavors and lasting memories. This blog isn’t about perfection or complicated techniques—it’s about real food for real life.
At the heart of my philosophy is health and wellness, approached in a realistic and sustainable way. I believe deeply that what we eat matters—not just for our physical health, but for our emotional well-being too. Cooking from scratch allows us to know what’s in our food, fuel our bodies properly, and feel good about what we’re serving the people we love most.
I’ve been cooking this way for decades, even while working full time, and I promise you—it is possible. With thoughtful meal planning and smart execution, you can serve nourishing, flavorful meals from scratch, save money by eating out less, and build traditions your family will remember forever.
The Adventure Begins
After years of serving love on a plate to my family and friends, I finally listened to their encouragement and started FOOD DEVOTED. This blog is my way of opening my kitchen to you. I am devoted to sharing the recipes, traditions, and simple wellness-minded practices that have shaped our lives and kept us coming back to the table.
Every recipe you’ll find here is made from the soul, tested in a real kitchen, and family-approved. These are the dishes we eat in our daily lives—food that nourishes, comforts, and brings people together. My hope is that Food Devoted helps you feel confident in the kitchen, inspired to prioritize your health, and encouraged to create meaningful moments through food.
Welcome to my table. I’m so glad you’re here. ❤️
